Moonshelf Stories believes that while not all stories may become our immediate favorites, others might enjoy them. We believe in sharing our book thoughts the same way we would with our dearest friends.

We are not hypercritical readers, we review books from a place of enjoyment. If you are looking for an in depth critical review telling you everything that is wrong about a story this is not the place for you. When we review books, we think about three distinct questions:

Is this a moonshelf story?

A story that captivates your imagination and takes you to a different world. A tale that consumes your thoughts when not reading it, a page-turner that makes you experience many emotions all at once. A book whose characters you grieve because you’ve just said goodbye.

Would someone enjoy this?

Not every story becomes an instant favorite, but we understand our readers have different tastes. We do our best to highlight the good, the bad, and its potential for others. While we may not recommend it due to our tastes we see its potential for other readers.

Yes!

Would we reread it?

The telltale sign of a good book, would you reread it? Would you enjoy it just as much if you were to read it again. Would we feel the need to revisit those characters, the settings, and relive the emotions?

Please do not email us or contact us via any social channels. Please use the designated form to submit a book review order. If you do not use the form we will not accept the submission.

Wait for an email

You will receive an email from us letting you know if you were ‘confirmed’ ‘waitlisted’ or ‘not accepted at this time’. The email should arrive within 3 business days.

We will notify you via email when we anticipate the review will go live.

FAQ

Many of our reviewed titles come from a publisher, authors, or a publicity firm.

Yes, we accept a limited amount of self-published books with a month.

Book reviews are free. Please do not accept any emails/messages asking for payment.

We only review confirmed books. We will let you know if your book was selected for reviewing. We do not have the resources at this moment to accept all books submitted however we encourage you to try again the following month.

Confirmed books = 1-2 weeks approx

Waitlisted books = 1-3 months approx
